Journey
“The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.”

What’s Next?
As we come to the end of this book, I want to remind you why we started this journey with you and what I hoped to share:
Asking Better Questions
Life is not about choosing between Deen or Dunya. That question limits us. Instead, we must recognize that we should all travel on the Deen—the Path—through the Dunya. The real question to ask is: Where am I going? The answer, for every soul, is to Allah SWT. The next question becomes: What is the best way to live my life to the fullest, in a way that pleases my Creator? What kind of story am I writing in my Life Book? This book is an invitation to reflect deeply on this question and the journey.
A Holistic Analogy for Life
I also wrote this book to provide a clearer, holistic understanding of life as a journey—a journey we experience through our body, mind, heart, and soul. Along the way, we discover our:
Purpose: Our ultimate destination.
Passion: What drives and fuels us.
Path: How we choose to walk it and which path—serving Allah via serving His Creation with entrepreneurship, employment, community work, etc.
Prosperity: Mastering Dunya with Barakah, so it serves us, not the opposite.
Peace: The state of the soul throughout the journey how we feel.
Living Islam Full-Time VS Part-Time
One of the greatest misconceptions we face as Muslims is treating Islam as something confined to the walls of the masjid or specific acts of worship—praying, fasting, giving zakat, or going for Hajj. While these pillars are crucial and central to our faith, what about the time in between? What about the hours we spend at work, in meetings, with family, or building businesses? Are those moments disconnected from our Deen?
The truth is, Islam is a way of life, not a part-time commitment. Our purpose isn’t fulfilled only in our ibadah (worship), but in how we live every aspect of our lives. The jobs we do, the businesses we build, the relationships we nurture—these are also acts of worship when done with the right intention: to serve Allah SWT. Every halal effort, every honest transaction, and every moment we spend striving for excellence (ihsan) becomes part of our worship.
Imagine your work as a doctor, a teacher, a parent, or an entrepreneur being elevated to a form of ibadah. When your intention is pure, when you strive to create value, serve others, and please Allah, even your “main thing” becomes part of your submission to Him. This is what it means to practice Islam full-time.
The challenge for us, then, is to erase the line we’ve drawn between our spiritual lives and our daily lives. There is no separation. Every action, every moment, is an opportunity to align with Allah’s pleasure.
Let us strive to make our entire journey—our prayers, our work, our family time, and even our rest—an act of worship, so that every step we take is on the path toward Him. This is living Islam in its fullest form. Below is how to get started.
